Originally published in 'Highland Papers'. This work is attributed to the Reverend John MacRa, who was the second son of Alexander MacRa of Inverinate. He was minister of the parish of Dingwall from 1674 until his death in 1704. The minister of the neighboring parish of Wardlaw at the time was the Reverend James Fraser, author of the 'Chronicle of the Frasers', and one can see these two clerics the closest of colleagues carrying on a friendly rivalry concerning their individual family histories.
Also on this disc is a short article from the 'Aberdeen Journal' Notes and Queries regarding 'The Chiefship of the Clan MacRae'.
This CD consists of scans of the original books, which can be browsed, enlarged and printed if required. Please note: it is not searchable.
