SUDDEN resignation of Mr. Harry Pringle, ABC Federal variety chief, may be a major move in the coming battle of Australian television. It is rumored that Mr. Pringle, a pioneer BBC television producer, will later join a commercial broadcasting network's expected television set-up.

Adelaide author-playwright Ralph Peterson had the thrill of his life on Sunday, when his wife, former Sydney radio and stage actress Betty Lucas presented him with a son - their first child.
