I purchased this item as contemporary newspaers did not record all crimes. While using this I have found so many more items that I would not found by any other means. While I am using it for Local History research it is an invaluable tool for Family History researchers. The pages are seachable as well handy looking for names and locations

Having 3 of my ancestors serving in the QPS, this product is a no-brainer. Service records, transfers and the like fill in a myriad of blanks in the family tales. My grandfathers whole service record is listed from initial appointment as a constable to his retirement 40 years later. Each record has a story involved, often linking to Trove records of court cases. It is enlightening when a family member gets mentioned on the other side of the law. A great source of criminal history too.
