This product is sold as a CD SECOND or SPARE.

  • "CD seconds" or "spares" are perfectly good data wise, but have been put aside due to:
  • faulty label printing, e.g. off colour or misaligned. A few have been manually labelled or corrected

over-produced initially, so offered as "spares" to clear

They are all offered at 60% to 90% discount (from the normal price). They will be supplied in clear CD sleeves, rather than the normal CD cases. In many cases they are the last available, i.e. they won't be available, even at full price, when sold out.

'The Roads of Queensland' was published in 1913 as a guide for travellers, tourists, motorists, drovers and land seekers to this state. The introduction in this book says that it is the the only work of its kind in being so comprehensive. The compilers devoted five years to the production of it, in order to make the details as accurate as possible and up to date at the time of publications. It contains a large amount of fascinating information giving insight into the period. You will information on the pastoral, agricultural, dairying, mining and sawmilling industries, as well as the various products of each district, the populations of all localities, the nature of the road-beds, whether the river and creek crossings are good or bad, where water can be found, the accommodation and other services in each town. Even where the telegraphic and telephonic stations were, and the coach routes, tourist trips, and various stock stations.

This guide includes the following important features:
 - 44 detailed road maps covering a large portion of the state
 - information for land seekers, settlers, drovers, pastoralists and tourists
 - motor vehicle guide
 - railway fares
 - Brisbane cab and tram fares
 - postal telegraphic and phone information
 - many relevant advertisements
 - and much more

Each map includes information on the tenure of land as well as the location of hotels, stores, hospitals, doctors, chemists, telephones, blacksmiths and more. This book is useful to social historians, motor historians and those with Queensland ancestors.
