Apple Tree Creek is a small rural town of about 450 people located six kilometres north of Childers on the Isis Highway - the cemetery is in Drummond Street. Until recently, it was the cemetery for the town of Childers. The creek after which Apple Tree Creek takes its name is a tributary of the Isis River.
