  • prisoners discharged from gaols and released on tickets of leave

  • rewards - names of persons offering a reward

  • victims of horse and cattle stealing or straying
  • victims of lost or stolen property

SAMPLE ENTRIES (from the 12 April 1929 issue): 

BURGLARY, HOUSEBREAKING, &c.
HOBART.-OUTFITTERS PTY. LTD., 64 Murray-street (through II. S. Ikin, Manager), report that their shop, situate at above address, was unlawfully broken and entered, and clothing, to the value of £25, and £7 in money (including one 1913 sovereign) stolen therefrom; clothing only identifiable. Entrance effected by forcing the back door. (The clothing has since been found in the Hobart Rivulet and the lavatory at St. David's Park.)

PRISONERS TO BE DISCHARGED.
McKENNY, LAWRENCE CROMWELL, on the 15th instant, by remission, labourer, age 17 years, height 5 feet 4 inches, fair complexion, fair hair, grey eyes, small nose, native of Tasmania; scar left elbow; vide " Police Gazette," 1928, page 128. Photo. 1/256.
