SAMPLE ENTRY (from the 14 September 1904 issue)
Inquests
At Somerton, on the 10th instant, on the body of Charles Ernest Deeley, who was found dead in his bedroom, at Somerton, on the previous day. Verdict - "That deceased, Charles Ernest Deeley, came to his death on September 9th 1904, from a gunshot would, by his own act, while of unsound mind."
At Kadina, on the 8th instant, on the body of James Conlin, who was crushed to death in the machinery at the Wallaroo Mines on the same day. Verdict- "That the deceased, James Conlin, came to his death at the home engine, Wallaroo Mines, on Thursday, September 8th, 1904, through his clothes being accidentally caught in the cogs of the wheel of the engine which he was driving, and that there is no blame attached to any person".
