First published to coincide with the Slee family reunion held in October 1976, this book has long been out of print. This comprehensive family history has been republished as a facsimile of the original - fully searchable.

The history of early Slee families in England dating back to circa 1490 is mentioned, but the book primarily follows the descendants of Josiah Slee who arrived in South Australia in 1853 from Devon, and Edward Taylor Slee, son of Josiah's older brother William Ballyman Slee, who emigrated to South Australia in 1876, also originally from Devon.

The book also contains the known history and lineage of several other Slee families from Devon who settled in Australia and New Zealand, and who may be related, but as at the time of writing the book, no connection had been found.

Narrative history, biographies, family trees and photographs are all included in this comprehensive family history of the Australian Slee's.
