This is a history of the Shaws, compiled primarily to correct errors both in their recorded history and in the history of their relationship to Clan Chattan overall. It begins with an account of their origin, their relationship with the MacPherrsons, the Mackintoshes, and the Farquarsons. In particular, it details their presence and situation in Rothiemurchus. The work includes information on the Shaws of Dell, Delnavert and Guisclich, Kinrara, Terenure, Tordarroch, and Crathinard, all of which are noted in considerable detail, with final chapters in Loch-an-Eilan Castle, the Shaw tartan, and the meaning of the Shaw name.

This CD consists of scans of the original book which can be browsed, enlarged and printed if required. Please note: it is not searchable.
