Originally published 1912, this book is an account of James McCullough and his descendants from the year 1740, when they left County Derry in Ireland, to settle first in Delaware and then in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It contains accounts of the capture and extended captivity of the family in Indian hands, and provides much detail of life on the American frontier in general.
Also included on this disc are articles from the 'Aberdeen Journal Northern Notes and Queries' relating to the McCulloughs of Plaids, of Kindeace, and of Glastullich. The information here relates to the descendants of John McCullough from 1458. There is extensive material as well on the Ross family, with whom they intermarried.
This CD consists of scans of the whole of the original book, which can be browsed, enlarged and printed if required. Please note: it is not searchable.
