Overview
A comprehensive directory of societies, libraries, archives and other product & service providers. It will also include a selection of feature articles. It will serve two main purposes:

• a handy reference for all family, local and social historians
• a promotional avenue for anyone offering products and services for researchers — societies, libraries, archives and related product and service providers

The idea is adapted from History and Genealogy: Australia and New Zealand a 320 page national resource guide published in 2011. This new South Australian guide is expected to have 40–60 pages, depending on the number of contributed articles and advertisers.

Launch and distribution
It is planned to launch this at the Unlock the Past Conference (Adelaide) in August 2025. It will continue to be offered, with updates as needed.

FREE DOWNLOAD — Contributors and others listed in the directory may link to this product for their members or users to download it — or host it on their own website for download.

PRINTED VERSION  — a printed version will be given to all article and ad contributors to the directory. It will be available for purchase by others at a low price

The directory section is being compiled from various sources - the South Australian interest entries (updated) from History and Genealogy: Australia and New Zealand, other gateway or directory sites and others we know of. 

There is a good chance you are already in our directory with a basic listing - the name of your organisation or service and your website. All who are in the directory section will benefit just from being listed there. This can be significantly enhanced by contributing an article or an ad — or both. This is offered FREE to anyone listed in the directory offering relevant products and services.
