MODBURY (34° 48' S. lat., 138° 38' E long.), a small postal village in the District Council of Teatree Gully, county of Adelaide, police district and electorate of Gumeracha, 91 miles NE. of Adelaide. Coach communication twice daily; fare, 1s. 6d. Hotel: Modbury. It is on the main road from Adelaide to Mount Pleasant, to which there are two coaches daily. It contains a store, two or three shops, a Wesleyan chapel, and an Institute. Population, 173.
