Radio Call, described as “South Australia’s Only Broadcasting Newspaper”, commenced during 1937. It covers news from the Adelaide Studios and a host of other topics including all things musical, theatrical, the week’s radio programs, and lots of other news from Australia and overseas. This CD covers all available issues from 1937 to 1956.

TV TESTS NOW ON AIR IN SA For the first time in Australia, television tests in an official Australian TV channel, over distances of up to 10 miles are being successfully conducted in Adelaide suburbs. The tests, at first "top secret", have now reached a technical quality comparable with what SA listeners will see when regular TV becomes a fact here.

In making an announcement about the tests, the Hendon factory manager of Philips Electrical Industries Pty. Ltd., Mr. D. van Amstel, said that the programs being transmitted had "no entertainment value whatever" to the general public.

The compendium contains high quality scanned images of the original newspapers (an incomplete set), and has been bookmarked for easy navigation. Pages can be searched, browsed, enlarged and printed out if required.
