Telephone books are a great source of information, for both names and addresses. This telephone directory covers the south and south western districts of Queensland in 1934. It lists thousands of telephone numbers of those listed, and they are arranged in a similar way to current day telephone books.
The directory is sorted alphabetically by town. Each town includes a list of people and companies together with their address and telephone number – sorted alphabetically by name.
It also includes call rates and hours, telegram rates, how to place a call or telegram, postal rates, wireless licence information and general telephone information.
A great source of information for those with connections in this region of Queensland in 1934.
