Originally published 1908, this handy little volume provides a wealth of useful information. Designed to be of pocket size for ease of portability, it contains a surprising amount of helpful material.
The first part of the book explains how 'probably most families that possess a pedigree of seven or eight generation have at least one descent from the Kings of England ... even though they may be quite unaware of it'. The second part, The Scottish Records, details the various types of public records in Scotland which can be of use to the genealogist. There is as well an excellent bibliography of useful printed books. Overall, this is a guide book to which you will refer again and again.
This CD consists of scans of the original books, each of which can be browsed, enlarged and printed if required. Please note: they are not searchable.
