Cyril Longmore was one of Western Australia's best journalists. He wrote and spoke for Australians in a way the few have. Once many Australian newspapers reflected the views of their readers and the editors an owners were part of the the community.
It it is Cyril's "Western Mail' columns that his contributions to the essence of Australia is to be most appreciated. For many years he encouraged soldiers, bushmen, and bush women, farmers and prospectors to write of their experiences and reminiscences.
