Written by Seumas MacThomais as a four volume set in 1987, this book on CD-ROM contains a total of 479 pages.
It is an extensive genealogical work is primarily concerned with Robert Robertson of Wester Invervack. It contains the names of over 2700 proven ancestors, comprising the complete ancestry in all lines of his forefather, Alexander Robertson, Baron of Struan. This Alexander of Struan was the first to bear Robertson as a surname. The second volume gives the full ancestry of his first wife, Lady Elizabeth Lyon, and that of his daughter-in-law, Lady Isabel Stewart, who was a sister of Alexander's second wife, Lady Elizabeth Stewart. The third book gives the ancestry of additional members of this family as they relate to Robert and Alexander Robertson. The final volume gives the ancestries of the wives of the chiefly family of Robertson from Robert, the seventh Chief's wife, Mariota Nic Iain of Ardnamurchan, down to the daughter of Auchleeks, who was the mother of Robert Robertson of Invervack.
It was the author's intention to provide members of Clan Donnachaidh with a documented research tool that would allow them to learn, once a link to the Struan line has been proven, all of their resulting ancestors.
