This CD set includes the "Civic Record of South Australia 1921-1923" and the " Official Civic Record of South Australia" which was published in 1936.
These volumes provide a wealth of information about the history of the City of Adelaide and of South Australia, and the development of councils throughout the surrounding suburbs and country districts. The volumes also provide a history of Colonel Light, the first Surveyor General of the state, a section containing information on the Governors of South Australia and the Mayors of Adelaide, as well as describing South Australia's history, beginning in 1836.
Major sections of the volumes also provide the histories and details of the development of district councils and corporations of cities, suburbs and districts throughout the state. Included in these details are lists of names of past and present councillors, some have further information.
High quality scanned images of the whole of each original book. These CDs have been bookmarked for easy navigation, and pages can be searched, browsed, enlarged and printed out if required.
