As well as listing those in the police force with promotions, demotions, resignations, dismissals, deaths etc. Also details on rewards, housebreak-ins, robberies, arson, murders, inquests, lost horses and cattle, deserters, escaped prisoners, missing friends, lost, found and stolen items, reports on those apprehended and discharged, and so much more. Notices from interstate police gazettes are often included.

Deserters of Wives and Children
George Damyon is charged, on warrant, with deserting his wife, Ellen Damyon, 72 Argyle-street, St. Kilda, at Collingwood, on the 3rd instant. Description:- English, labourer, 28 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, medium build, thin features, dark complexion, heavy dark eyebrows, blue eyes, rather large nose, fair moustache only, anchor tattooed on one arm, marked on back of hands, ring tattooed on one finger, very large hands; wore a dark sac coat and vest, light-coloured trousers, a brown boxer hat with black band, and lace-up boots. Has his child, 8 months old, with him. - O.4021. 18th May, 1895.
