This 1944 volume presents "in broad outline the developments of the war in the air in which the RAAF participated in the past year - that will breathe the spirit of Air Force and provide the Service with its third souvenir". Again there are many contributed articles reflecting the situation from the serving man’s perspective and, in this book, the authors are named rather than just having their service number recorded.
As previously the articles cover a wide range of topics – RAAF Wings Over Europe, RAAF Spitfires at the Kill, Solo to Berlin, Beaufighter Toll, Africa Star, Middle East Squadrons, Italian Stranglehold, From Nadzab to Noemfoor, Nightingales of New Guinea, Kittyhawk Victory, Escape from Wewak, The Road to Salami, Convoy to Aitape, Burma's Story, Darwin Fights Back, and Night Flight to Sourabaya to name just some.
An Honour Roll is included which details awards and decorations of Australians in the RAAF and RAF. Foreign decorations received are also listed.
