Telephone Directories are a wonderful source of information for historians, as they provide the name and address of people at a particular date.
These four New South Wales Telephone Directories from the 1930s all include the city and surrounding suburb exchanges of Sydney including: the City North, the City South, Ashfield, Castle Hill, Liverpool, Manly, Sutherland and many more.
Also included with each is a Pink Pages section which is a classified business and professional section of the Telephone Directory. They contains a list of telephone subscribers and their respective professions or trades.
Each year is also available individually:
New South Wales Telephone Directory 1934: Sydney
New South Wales Telephone Directory 1935: Sydney
New South Wales Telephone Directory 1936: Sydney
New South Wales Telephone Directory 1939: Sydney
