Local and regional histories are a wonderful resource for historians, as they often include the names of community leaders such
as business people, local government officers and elected members, and early pioneers of the region.
Local and regional histories provide an insight into the past circumstances
and environment of small communities. They give the historian an understanding
of how people of the time lived their day-to-day lives. They are of particular
interest to family historians who may have ancestors living in the particular
community as while they may find no mention of particular names, they will certainly
come across issues and events that they certainly experienced.
This CD contains two books on the one CD. Both the Drummoyne and Concord local histories have been combined and are offered at a very
