Originally published in 1754, the 'Concise History' was updated to the
end of the 19th century by clan historian C.A. Gordon, and republished in 1890.
It is the 1890 edition that this is a facsimile copy of.
The 'Concise History' is a most useful work, giving short notices of the more
important of the cadet branches, and essentially providing extensive
genealogical and historical information on the primary lines of the House of
Gordon.
Also included on this disc are three short articles on various topics in clan
history: 1) "The Gordons of Craig," by John Malcolm Bulloch; 2) "John Gordon of
Glenbucket," by Henrietta Tayler; and 3) "The Gordon and Forbes Feud," by James
Ferguson of Kinmundy.
