in order to inform people of the history, customs and languages of some of the
groups of Aborigines in the Western Districts of Victoria.
Containing over 20 chapters, the book includes information relating to:
population, property, clothing, habitations, domestic furniture, food and tools,
laws of marriage, people's names, deaths and burials. A detailed section on
languages is also included, containing information on vocabulary, grammar and
sentences and places where it is spoken.
