This two volume set was originally produced in 1851 and 1852, and contains the history of Yorkshire from the earliest period through until to 1852.
Volume One presents historical events both local and national that helped shape Yorkshire, and Volume Two restricts itself mainly to the market towns and biographical notices. This is a useful reference for the family and the local historian with a complete chapter being devoted to the catastrophe at Holmfirth caused by the failure of the Biberry Reservoir.
This CD contains high quality scanned images of the whole of the original book. This CD has been bookmarked for easy navigation, and pages can be searched, browsed, enlarged and printed out if required.
