Testamenta Cantiana is a series of extracts from 15th and 16th century wills relating to the building and topography of Kent.

The book is divided into two sections, West Kent, compiled by Leland L. Duncan, and published in 1906, and East Kent compiled by Arthur Hussey, and published in 1907.

Both sections detail the contributions given in wills to the various churches. These bequests include money for the fabric and fittings of the church, monuments, ornaments and miscellaneous other bequests including those for: Church ales, Parish Clerk, Yew Trees, Shoes, Roads, Almshouses etc. This is a useful resource for family and local history.

A digital version of the original book, in PDF format is now fully searchable, and can be viewed on any computer using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
