Description of Body: Between 60 and 70 years of age, stout build, 5ft. 6in. high, dark complexion, hair grey. Circumstanced attending the decease, of finding of the body: The deceased was found dead in the cell at the Police Station, Gawler at half-past six o'clock a.m. on December 1st. Was arrested at half-past seven p.m. for stealing a watch. H[e] appeared quite well in health when taken into custody, and did not complain.
All information received by the police: Inquest held before R.J. Turner, S.M. Verdict: - Died from natural causes. I have been informed deceased has friends in Helston, Cornwall, in England. The deceased was a native of Truro, and a saddler by trade.
