This volume represents all the known records from the Register of Freemen of the City of London that survived a fire in 1786. The entries give very interesting biographical details of each freeman. Hundreds of names are listed - some men have London origins and others are from families in other counties of England. Complete with an index of surnames. A fascinating resource for genealogists, and also for any historian interested in the citizens and trade of Tudor London.
