This CD contains the Queensland Family Historian from 1991 to 2000 – the journal of the Queensland Family History Society. It must be more than forty years since I asked my mother where her father was born. She knew he was born at Yaxley, and although I doubt that she knew where Yaxley was, in time I found it on a map - a small town a few miles south of Peterborough, In Huntingdonshire, about 80 miles north of London. Many years later, as my interest in Family History grew, my father quietly told me that my grandfather was ‘illegitimate.’
