This is a useful source of information for those with ancestors connected to the Education Department (including teachers), or if you have an interest in Queensland schools themselves.
Being large organizations with schools spread across the colony/state from the most remote settlements to the inner city, the Education Gazettes were produced as a means to provide instructions and information to the staff of government schools.
You will find information on hundreds of individual teachers and staff named throughout, together with information on schools opening and schools closing and more.
As far as family historians are concerned, they are valuable primary source documents.
Generally issued once a month, this CD contains all issued that were released in 1902. High quality scanned images of each of the original issues. This CD has been bookmarked for easy navigation, and pages can be searched, browsed, enlarged and printed out if required.
