Written by Louisa G. Graeme in 1903, 'Or and Sable' is a book that relates to this history of the Graemes and Grahams.
Totalling almost 800 pages, this history of the Scottish Grahams begins with Patrick Graeme, Baron of Inchbrakle (1513-1538), and his wife, Margaret Stewart, and moves generation by generation through the major Graham figures over the next 350 years. The cadet lines as well are described in detail, including the Grahams of Pitcairn, of Braco, of the Orkneys and Shetland, of Kincardine, of Balgowan, of Callender, of Airth, of Strowan, of Fintry, and other similar lines. The material is genealogical and historical, and in considerable detail.
Overall, it is an authoritative study of the most important Graham lines from the 16th into the late 19th century.
This CD consists of scans of the original books, which can be browsed, enlarged and printed if required. Please note: it is not searchable.
