This book is a collection of works primarily written by the soldiers of the 1st Battalion Group, and was produced with primary purpose of providing members of the 1 RAR Group with a record of the memory of their tour of duty to East Timor.
It recognises the role of the soldiers and the importance of the contribution made by those who supported them from home.
This invaluable record not just in words, but the hundreds of photographs and maps that have also been included, will serve as a record for all - not just for those who served, but for those who didn't and wish to understand what serving in East Timor was like. The appendixes include a chronology of events, a battalion ORBAT chart, as well as a nominal roll.
