Championship of the World: BOAT RACE REGULATIONS.
It is hereby notified, for general information, that the Boat-race Regulations made by the Marine Board of New South Wales, and approved by His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and published in the Government Gazette of 27th ultimo, shall be in force and shall be applicable to the Boat-race for the Championship of the World between William Beach and Edward Hanlan, advertised to be rowed on the Parramatta River, between Charity Point and “The Brothers,” between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m. of Saturday next, the 28th instant.

Australian Contingent in Egypt:
An Act to provide for the government discipline payment and maintenance of the Australian Contingent engaged and dispatched for service with Her Majesty’s Regular Forces in Egypt and for the indemnification of all persons employed or concerned in the engagement and dispatch of such Contingent and for the validation of all acts done and payments made in connection therewith in anticipation of the sanction of Parliament. [Assented to, 27th March, 1885]
