You can not only find out about your family, along with where they lived, and what they did, but more about the town or region they came from, and the social history of the time. Of the county directories are known to be the best, and most comprehensive, and this one covering the English counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire is no different. You will find that it lists many thousands of people names, addresses and occupations, in the following sections:

- a directory of places and their inhabitants, facilities, history, etc.
- a private residents directory
- a classified trades directory
An amazing reference book it'll help you find find out about the soicety your family lived in, in this era.
Condition: The book comes with all pages and the original cover intact, although the cover is a little loose. There is a large coloured fold-out map included of Berkshire. One edge of it does have some tears, but otherwise is in good condition. The book does have the name of it's original inscribed inside, as well as a bookplate from Nick Vine Hall.
