The official full title of this publication is "A Calendar of the Feet of Fines relating to the county of Huntingdon Levied in the King's Court from the fifth year of Richard I to the end of the reign of Elizabeth 1194-1603."
If case you're not familiar with what "Feet of Fines" are are the archival copy of the agreement between two parties in an English lawsuit over land. The procedure was followed from c.1195 until 1833.
The introduction of this book, which covers the first 166 pages, gives an in-depth explanation of the property comprised in fines (the manor, hides, virgates etc.). Plus a good description of what fines are how they are dated, the warranty and proclamations. Also included are lists of both the men’s and women’s names that appear in the fines. The fines (transfers of land and property) themselves are listed by regnal year.
