Edited by William Brown, published in 1897, this book (now on CD) contains the Lay Subsidy returns for 1301 which have survived.
It includes almost all of the North Riding, City of York, partial returns for Allertonshire and the Liberties of St Mary's and St Peter's York, only the wapentake between the Ouse and the Derwent for the East Riding, and nothing for the West Riding. Arranged by wapentake, then by place. Hundreds of names are included, which makes it a very useful source for medieval genealogy.
