Now available on CD-ROM, the complete Yorkshire 1861 Census index. This CD
contains over 2,000,000 names, listing all persons in this census. Searchable by
Surname, Forename and Age (note: any two of these are required to search,
although wildcard searches can be done as well), the results come up in a table
giving Surname, Forename, Age, Area, Piece and Page on CD or Folio reference.
There is a "find family" button which will then list the other members of the
family related to the focus person, which is a very handy feature!
This CD does need to be installed, and a unique serial number is supplied
with each CD. This index is the ideal companion to the Yorkshire 1861 Census
set.
