If you're looking for family in England, and you are researching prior to 1837,
parish records are the primary records to be consulting, but accessibility
hasn't always been the easiest. Finally we are now seeing some of these parish
records scanned and made accessible on CD.
The parish registers for Beaudesert
in Warwickshire are covered by this CD. In three volumes they cover:
Volume 1: Mixed entries 1607-1660, Baptisms 1661-1781, Marriages
1664-1776, Burials 1662-1776
Volume 2: Baptisms, Marriages and Burials 1776-1812
Volume 4: Marriages 1777-1837
Note: When you get back beyond 1752 in England, remember that dates on
records and documents will be in the Julian calendar, not the current Gregorian.
Officially the Gregorian calendar was introduced in October 1582, but the
changeover was slow, and England did not adopt this calendar until September
1752.
The CD contains digitally enhanced images of the whole of the original books,
which is fully searchable, bookmarked, and is printable.
