Searchable fields include the surname, given name, sex, given name of father, given name of mother, given name of spouse, place, year, age and reference number. The records are arranged alphabetically for the entire period and the births, deaths and marriages have been merged into one index.

The CD-ROMs are easy to use, have "On-Line' help and can be used with a mouse or a keyboard. The software is Windows based but is fully compatible with Macintosh and DOS systems. The software incorporates many exciting features for family history researchers. Significant amongst these are:

  • Reverse Truncation (*Donnell retrieves entries such as O'Donnell, McDonnell and MacDonnell etc.)
  • Soundex Searching (Like Myer retrieves entries such as Meyer, Mier etc.)
  • Field Re-Sorting (All fields in a Results List may be re-ordered. For example, a listing of a Surname could be re-sorted in order of the Place).
  • Field Listing at the click of a button, all entries in a particular field can be displayed in alphabetical order (for names), chronological order (for years) or numerical order (for ages).

NOTE: this title is also available on microfiche

The Cd`s that you sell are no doubt of the best quality and provide the information that is called for by the buyer, but being as microsoft are now using windows 7 it makes them obsolete unless you have an old computer with XP toplay them on. you as a company need to lean on microsoft to help your customers wanting to buy your disc`s.
