Written by Thomas Sinclair in 1890, this is one of the earlier histories of this famous family, but it is particularly valuable for the light it sheds on even earlier histories and for its discussion of the validity or authenticity of much of that material.
It includes important information on the Henderson family, the English Gunns, and of course upon the related families who interact with the Gunns, including Keith, Sinclair, Mackay, Sutherland, Mackenzie, MacIver, Ross, and Gordon.
