Bob Velke is the president of Wholly Genes Software, the makers of The Master Genealogist and Family Tree SuperTools. He is a popular speaker at genealogical conferences and has written for Genealogical Computing, The Computer Genealogist, and a variety of other publications on topics related to using computers for family history research.
He is a member of the Board of Directors for GENTECH, Inc., a non-profit organization founded to foster the use of technology among family historians, and is active in the Lexicon Working Group and other projects designed to improve the methods for communicating data between researchers. Bob is an avid family history researcher with a special interest in the Civil War and southwest Virginia.
