In preparing the alphabetical list of burials, some surnames were slightly altered so that they agreed with the spelling which subsequently came into general usage. In some cases the spelling was incorrect in the burial register. A listing of all those changed is given.
It should be noted that this book contains only the names of people who were buried in St John's Churchyard. Entries in the burial register for people who were buried elsewhere, are not included in the book.
A history of the chuchyard, biographical details of the burials, maps of the churchyard and each graves position are also included.
