'South Australian Centenary Caricatures' was created and published in 1936 by Lionel Coventry, the caricaturist, as part of celebrating South Australia’s hundredth birthday.
The book contains over 100 caricatures of memorable people that were part of South Australia and its history. Including people such as: the Governor Major-General Sir Winston Dugan, as well as politicians who represented South Australia, Mayors, and men such as Sir Langdon Bonython who was "for 35 years the Editor and sole proprietor of 'The Advertiser'".
"The hundred and six citizens featured in these caricatures are representative of almost every walk in life, and each and all have generously co-operated with me in offering a volume which will be the means, I hope - and particularly to those I have attempted to present - of recalling to their memory this great year." - Lionel Coventry
