Originally published by the Scottish Record Society back in 1911, this is a listing of parish registers (baptisms and marriages) that took place in Dunfermline between 1561-1700. This CD covers those from 1571-1570.
Although it is a short year span, there are still hundreds of names listed. And if this is your area of interest, and you're back (or almost) to this era, you may well find family members listed.

Marriages:
The 8 day Michael Stewart was married to Janet Kellok.
The 29 day Robert Angus was married to Margaret Rae.
In the 'Explanatory Note' section at the beginning of the book, it is said that while the original register entries have been condensed, all relevant information for this index has been retained, as has the original spelling of names.
The CD contains bookmarks for easy navigation, and the pages can be browsed, searched, enlarged and printed if required.
