'Resource County Leitrim' is a publication which brings together useful and
hard-to-find material into the one easy-to-use CD.
The CD provides maps and information to help researchers navigate the complex
system of townlands and parishes in their search for their ancestors. The
comprehensive databases are designed to help individuals, libraries and family
history groups to find the information they need from a single source, without
needing to go on the internet.
The author said his wife's ancestors left few records, making the search for
infromation frustrating at times in a quest involving years of work, four visits
to Ireland, letters published in the newspapers and help from other researchers
around the world. 'In the process I have unearthed and collated background
information useful which may help other people. I hope the information presented
on this CD will save other people from re-inventing the wheel'.
The 'Resource County Leitrim' CD includes 60 files and 90 maps, with more
than 1100 pages of information including:
