An alphabetical index to teacher admissions, promotions, transfers and resignations in Queensland during the five year period 1907 to 1911, this publication lists the name, standing, school(s), type of entry, date and page reference in the relevant Education Office Gazette (over 6900 references). Covers entries for pupil teachers through to the Director of Education. For this period the numbers of teachers listed in the Gazette are high in relation to the numbers employed--total of 2402 teachers (1153 male and 1249 females) were employed at the end of 1906-1907 there were 1120 staff changes listed in the gazette. During the five years covered by this index numbers of teachers were transferred five times--a few six and seven times!
