the name, position, department, location, place, officer, category, division,
class, date of birth (some as early as the 1840s), date of first appointment,
and the page reference in the 27 January 1910 Queensland Government Gazette for
approximately 1000 officers employed in the various divisions of the Queensland
Public Service on the first day of January 1910.
Further information provided
in the Gazette includes the salary (and various allowances), the date of last
increase to principal salary, and the date appointed to present class.
Qualifications, where appropriate are also recorded. Many entries provide
additional information about the officer in footnotes--some explaining the
allowance received (for example: horse found, shod, and fed), and others
relating to previous positions held.
