Gould Genealogy and History

'Bold, Steady, Faithful', which was the motto of the Carlton Company in 1861, provides a fascinating insight into the life of a unit of citizen soldiers, whose members responded to the call of two World Wars.

The Battle Honours won in those wars and the traditions formed over a period of almost 140 years are now in the safe keeping of the young men of the 5/6th Battalion Royal Victoria Regiment.
