The Otway Ranges is a coastal place on the southern coast of Victoria. The author, Jack Loney first visited the Otways in 1930 and lives at Apollo Bay from 1953 from 1953 until 1971, during which time he gathered from many sources the information condensed into this and other books he has written about the region.
This collection of stories and reminiscences will be of interest to all who visit the area, or who have an interest in the area. Commencing with the lusty days of coastal exploration and timber cuting, the reader is then taken through the land settlements of the eighteen seventies and eighties, and on to the brink of the bustling tourist expansion of modern times.
