'Orange and District Illustrated' is an illustrated historical, statistical and descriptive record of the area and was published in 1928. The aim in publishing the book was to 'collate the most important features in the districts growth and combine with them typical town and country views (both old and new), photos, many past and present prominent citizens and concise statistical information'.
The book includes details of the pioneering of Orange, its early days, its culture and development, and its people as well as information on churches, schools, farming, events, and community interests and much more, all accompanied with photographs.
A fascinating book filled with information for the family and local historian.
